How Much Does Alloy Wheel Refurbishment Cost in Somerset?
What actually decides the price of an alloy wheel refurbishment, why nobody can quote properly from a description alone, and how to get an accurate figure.
Read the guideIt depends on what is being done and how many wheels, and the honest answer is that we will tell you when we have seen them. What we can do is explain what makes it quick and what makes it slow.
People assume the finish takes the longest. It does not - the preparation does. Getting the surface right is what decides whether the result lasts, and it cannot be hurried without showing up later.
Which is why a wheel with light scuffing goes faster than a wheel with corrosion under the lacquer or an old repair that has to come back out first, even though the finished result looks the same.
More wheels, obviously. Larger diameters. Intricate multi-spoke designs with a lot of edges. Corrosion. Flaking or lifting previous coatings. Bad earlier repairs. And a colour change, which means taking the whole face back rather than blending into what is there.
Weather can matter too for work carried out at your premises. It is not a reason to rush a job, and if conditions are not right for a proper finish we would rather rearrange than hand back something that will not last.
A same-day service is available where the job suits it - but it has to be pre-booked. Ringing at nine in the morning hoping for that afternoon is not something we can promise.
If you need the car for something specific, say so when you book rather than on the day. It is usually possible to work around a deadline if we know about it in advance.
Weekend appointments are available on request. We are open 9am till 6pm, Monday to Sunday, so if the working week is impossible for you, ask.
It is worth asking early. Weekend slots go first.
Send photographs before you book, so we know what we are coming to rather than discovering it on the day. Tell us the wheel size and the vehicle. Say if the wheels are diamond cut, or if anything has been repaired before.
And make sure the car is somewhere we can actually work when we arrive - accessible, with room around it. A vehicle boxed in on a narrow street is the commonest reason a visit takes longer than it should.
Ask at the time about looking after a freshly finished wheel in the first days - what to avoid, and when it is fine to wash the car. It takes ten seconds to ask and it protects the work.
The refurbishment is guaranteed for a year. If something is not right, tell us rather than living with it.
Where the job suits it, yes, but it has to be pre-booked. We cannot promise a same-day slot on a same-day call.
Yes, on request. We are open 9am till 6pm, Monday to Sunday, and weekend slots book up first.
Preparation. Corrosion, flaking finishes and previous bad repairs all have to be dealt with before anything new goes on.
Send us the details, or a photograph, and we will come back to you. If it is urgent, call 07967 954416 rather than waiting for a reply.
